  • Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix – Find this delicious seasoning packet in the grocery store near the soup mixes and seasonings. It is sometimes labeled as Vegetable Soup Mix. The Leek Recipe Mix also works great for a dip.
  • Mayonnaise – I really like Duke’s Mayonnaise, use your favorite brand. I do think the full fat version makes the best dip.
  • Sour Cream adds creamy flavor and balances out the mayo.
  • Frozen Spinach or use 16 ounces of fresh spinach.
  • Water Chestnuts add a crunchy texture to the dip. Find them near in the Asian section of the grocery store.
  • Green Onions adds fresh flavor to the dip.

How to Make Spinach Dip

  1. Combine sour cream, mayonnaise and Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix in a mixing bowl.
  1. Cook frozen spinach according to package directions. Squeeze out excess water and add to the mixing bowl with the mayo mixture.
  2. Drain and dice water chestnuts and slice green onions and add to the mayo mixture.

  1. Mix it all together really well, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.

Variations for Creamy Spinach Dip

  • Spice it up with chopped candied jalapenos or red pepper flakes.
  • Shred some Parmesan cheese and mix it in.
  • Stir in chopped and drained artichoke hearts for spinach artichoke dip.

  • Serve spinach dip in a bread bowl. Cut off about 1/4 inch of the top of an Italian loaf, sourdough or homemade bread bowl. Cut out the center, leaving the bread shell. Cut the insides into cubes. Spoon dip into the bread bowl and serve with bread cubes.

Store spinach dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days. Stir before serving.
